dBpoweramp CD Ripper

dBpoweramp is made up of several tools that can prove to be quite useful. There’s a tool that can be used to rip audio CDs, a tool that can be used to convert audio files, and there’s also a tool that can be used to batch convert audio files from one format to another. I’ll present the tools in more detail after I say a few words about getting dBpoweramp up and running on a Windows PC.

As expected, a setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. Just download an installer, run it, and then follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. Before it’s done, this setup wizard will ask to create shortcuts on your desktop.

And so I get back to the tools that are part of dBpoweramp. The setup wizard will ask to create shortcuts for the following tools:
dBpoweramp CD Ripper – load an audio CD, select the tracks you want to rip, pick the output format and location, and let the ripper do its job. It will quickly rip the audio CD you select, based on the parameters you set up.
dBpoweramp Music Converter – select one or several audio files and convert them. Multiple audio formats are supported, including MP3 and M4A.
dBpoweramp Batch Converter – use this tool if you want to batch convert a large number of files.
Configure dBpoweramp – view program versions, installed codecs and music converter options.

dBpoweramp is available as a free and as a paid version. The paid version is free to use for 21 days. After this trial period expires, the software reverts to the free version.
